Post 100 Commander's Corner

Well another convention has come and gone. We at Post 100 commended Commander Brenda Dearborn on a successful year in office and thanked for all your hard work. Best wishes to her in her future endeavors.

Now to our new 2012-2013 Commander Ken Bouchard, welcome and congratulations to you and your newly elected officers.

Members there are a few things we have going on. New membership cards are in, so if you would like to come and pay your dues and pick them up at the hall on Monday's or Fridays from 4 to 9 p.m or you can call me Ed Ellis at 357-6437. If you are going to mail your dues in please mail them to the post. The dues will not be going up at this point and time, it was voted down at convention but this could change next year.

S.A.L.s members, your new cards are in and can be picked up also at the time listed above or by calling your ad-visor Ed Ellis at 357-6437. If you wish to mail your dues money in, send it to the Post. All S.A.L.s will be notified of their meeting.

The Dixfield Legion will hold its monthly meeting at 6 p.m. on July 1 so that all members can attend on the main floor.

Public supper will be from 4-6 p.m. on July 7. Menu is pepperoni casserole, garlic bread, vegetables, coffee and tea.

On July 15, we will be having our monthly Valve Cover Race, This is turning out to be good family fun. Doors open at 9 a.m. for practice and the race will start at 11 a.m. Fee is $7 to race the car, $2 of which will go into a jackpot at the end on the race season for a cast payout. If you are interested in finding out what this is all about come and watch a race.
