Kaynor & Berryment join forces
MEXICO- Peter Kaynor, a 23-year veteran lawyer, joined forces with five-year veteran, Chris Berryment, on July 1, in the law office building of Paul Dumas, Jr., behind the Oxford Federal Credit Union.
“I’m very positive about this move,” stated Kaynor. “I’ve known Chris for several years and I’m very impressed with his work ethic and his trial skills. We both saw this move as a way to expand and better serve our community.”
“I’ve enjoyed working around Peter,” stated Berryment. “There’s no way I would have turned down this opportunity. Together we can better serve our clients. The next natural step was to have a partner and build a strong foundation with a full staff.”
The partnership brings together a staff that is knowledgeable in family law, estate planning, criminal law, personal injury, social security and other matters.
“I grew up in Dixfield,” stated Berryment. “I’m invested in this community.”
Kaynor spent summers in Rangeley during his childhood years and came back to live in the River Valley and practice law in 1990.
Kaynor and Berryment are both members of the Oxford County Lawyers Association and Kaynor is the president of the Oxford County Bar. Both are licensed in all Maine and federal courts, and Kaynor is also licensed in U.S. Supreme Court.
“We believe in providing our area with quality representation,” agreed Kaynor and Berryment. “We want people to trust us with their civil needs and if we can’t handle a particular situation, we will definitely direct you to where you will get the best service.”
