MEXICO- Children of all ages look forward to driving Route 2 at Christmastime to see the dazzling lights that decorate the outside of Naples Packing, Co. and family home, located at 654 River Rd, but they get even more excited when their parents make their weekly shopping trips there for meats, cheeses, vegetables, and seafood just to name a few items from their extensive list.

It all began in 1946 when Enrico “Ed” Naples bought a truck and decided to sell meat from the back of it. He traveled all over, from Mexico to Rangeley, and not long after, he had made a name for himself all the way to New Hampshire.

“I’ve been here since 1974,” stated son and present day owner/manager, Jim Naples. “I took over 18 years ago and never looked back. It’s a lot of work and often it’s seven days a week, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.”

Naples has expanded their clientele from the back of one truck to their warehouse from which they have multiple deliveries daily to restaurants all over the River Valley and the western mountains, not to mention the hundreds of people who frequent the storehouse for all their party and everyday food needs.

Whether you’re looking for that perfect cut of ribeye for your outdoor picnic, a mouth-watering Christmas day dinner of Mellow Gold ham, or you want to stock your freezer for the winter with one of their affordable meat bundles, Naples Packing is the place to go.

With approximately 1500 pounds of ground beef sold per day throughout the year, Naples’ meat speaks for itself.

They also provide fresh produce, eggs, and baked goods, and they can have everything ready for pickup if you call ahead with your desired order.

You can order by the individual item or from Jim’s many bundles.

For instance, Jim’s Bundle #1, for the smaller family or freezer, which includes 5lbs. of hamburg, 5lbs. of bacon, 5lbs. of ribeye, 5lbs. of chicken breast, 1 dozen extra large eggs and 5lbs. of boneless pork chops for only $89.95, to “The Big One”, which includes close to 100 pounds of product, including steaks, stew beef, pot roast, bacon, ribs, chicken breast, hot dogs, fries, potatoes, eggs, fish and sausage, for only $219.95. There is a bundle for every size family, freezer or party.

The storehouse has a full deli available for orders on demand. You can look through the glass to choose from genoa salami, black forest ham, capocollo, turkey breast, roast beef, and a variety of cheeses, including cheddar pepperoni, orange cheddar and one of their newest items, 4-blend italian cheese.

Jim noted that one of their highest demand products is that of pizza supplies to local restaurants. They carry various spices, vegetables, sauces and dough for your pizzeria needs.

If you’re looking for something specific, Jim invites you to make your request and one of his staff members will research their extensive catalogs to help fulfill your need.

Naples also offers self storage trailers, located just across the street. “It’s a little dream I had years ago,” stated Jim. “And in 2006 I started by having 23 built. Now, I’ve just expanded to 75. They’re very popular and I do have vacancy available.”

The storage trailers range in size from 6 x 10 all the way up to 10 x 24.
