RUMFORD -- Rumford Group Homes, Inc. recently received a grant in the amount of $1,000 from the Bangor Savings Bank Community Matters More campaign to support the agency’s Homeless Services programs.
Rumford Group Homes, Inc. operates three emergency homeless shelters in Oxford County in Rumford, Norway and South Paris. The shelters operate on the Housing First model and with case management support, families move into permanent housing as quickly as possible. They receive on-going support once they access housing to promote long term housing stability.
Alan J. Monier, executive director of Rumford Group Homes, Inc., stated, “We are very thankful for the generous support of Bangor Savings Bank and for the support of community members who voted for our agency during the Community Matters More campaign and recognize the work we do to help vulnerable families in our area.”
“This grant award from our Foundation to Rumford Group Homes signifies our commitment to improving Maine communities by supporting organizations like Rumford Group Homes who provide critical services to the communities it serves,” noted Greg Gagne, vice president and branch manager for Bangor Savings Bank.
