Aubuchon has grand opening for feed store

RUMFORD -- Aubuchon Hardware held a grand opening over the weekend, celebrating the expansion of the Falmouth store into Purina Feeds.

The store has a new storage building, measuring 16x44 feet in the front and 24x60 in the back. Manager Al Richard said the line includes feeds for goat, chicken, horse and deer.

The grand opening included a free raffle to win a lawn tractor. There was also an event called Sparks Ark: a fun and educational live animal show.

There were also hot dogs for sale, with all proceeds going to benefit the Make A Wish Foundation.

Aubuchon Hardware came to Rumford in 1972 where Motion Industries is now located in the River Valley Crossing.

Founded by William E. Aubuchon in 1908, Aubuchon Hardware is the oldest family owned and managed chain of hardware stores in America. They operate over 125 neighborhood hardware stores throughout New England and Upstate New York in addition to HardwareStore.com.
