MEXICO -- Simply the Best Boutique held its grand opening on June 14 at its home at 125 Main St.
Owner Andrea White said she works through a wholecase company to sell women's clothing, handbags, perfumes, fashion jewelry and nail polish. She also does clothing, shoes and handbags on consignment.
Before this location, she operated a home business. When White began posting different fashion pictures on Facebook, people began to show a lot of interest, enough so that she decided to start her own business.
She looked at space in Rumford before starting up in Mexico at another location. However, White quickly realized she needed a larger space. A month and a day later, this space became available, and reopened her business..
White noted that since starting her business on April 8, she has seen more than $10,000 in retail sales.
She gave thanks to the Town of Mexico for making being accommodating and making it easy for her to open her business, as well as the help of family and friends.
Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and the same on the first and third Saturday of the month. White can be reached at 357-3738.
