Russell in upcoming musical production
AUBURN -- Richard Russell, a graduate of Mtn. Valley High School, has a role for Lewiston-Auburn Community Little Theatre's production of "Jekyll & Hyde the Musical" opening Friday at Lewiston Middle School Auditorium, Central Avenue.
Russell is a sophomore at University of Maine at Farmington and has been active in the spring and fall theater productions at UMF and also in the One Act Festival. He is a counselor at Black Mountain Day Camp in Rumford and is assisting in teaching at Mtn. Valley High School this summer. He is the son of Ronald and Lisa Russell of Rumford.
Richard Martin is directing the Broadway show that has won multiple awards based on Robert Louis Stevenson's "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" detailing the struggle of good vs evil and the resulting chaos it
brings. Paul G. Caron is musical director and Amelia Pullen is choreographer.
The show is resplendent with fast paced production numbers, colorful costumes and set design. An instant success with Broadway audiences and critics alike, it went on to break box office records. The music of Frank Wildhorn and the lyrics of Leslie Bricusse blend to create this unforgettable musical experience.
Advance tickets are $16 and $18 at the door. Reservations may be reserved online at www.laclt.com or by calling the box office at 783-0958. All performances are at Lewiston Middle School's air-conditioned auditorium.
Curtain is at 8 p.m. on August 5, 6, 12, and 13; at 7:30 p.m. on August 11; and at 2 p.m. on August 7 and 14.
