Dance to raise funds for ATV for Mexico Fire Department
MEXICO — The Mexico Fire Department ATV Fundraiser Committee is planning to host a Halloween Dance on Saturday in hopes of reaching their goal of $10,000.
Doors open at 7 p.m. for a social hour before the dance. The band Fair Enough plays from 8 p.m. to midnight. There is a costume contest with a grand prize of $100 for best costume, donated by Wentzell's Auto Body.
Tickets are $10 per person and can be purchased at the Mexico Fire Station or the American Legion in Rumford. Tickets also will be sold at the door.
Anyone wanting to donate money for the ATV fund can contact the Mexico Fire Department at 364-3612.
The committee raised close to $3,000 this past summer toward the cost of a six-wheel rescue ATV for remote rescues. The Mexico Firefighters Relief Association launched its fundraising campaign in May.
