Air-Head Balloon Festival

RUMFORD -- The Air-Head Balloon Festival will be held on Saturday at 49 Franklin St.

Doors open at 11:30 a.m., with the show starting at 12:30 p.m., featuring the amazing and zany Jer Remian and the incredible and foolish antics of Scot Grassette

Jer Remian has performed his amazing and wacky stunts for families for over 15 years. He is a comic magician, who has showcased his skills throughout New England. His specialty is his giant balloon creations. Marvel at the giant birds, masks, hats, and zoo of animals and creations that is only limited to his very creative imagination.

Scot Grassette is the president of the Society of American Magicians of Portland and has sculpted balloon animals for over 25 years. Always popular at local birthday parties, Scot manages to please a crowd with his fast hands and quick twists. Scot can create a basic balloon dog in seconds flat.

Scot and Jeremy have both won Portland's Society of American Magician's Ralph Greenwood trophy for Excellence in Comedy Magic. They will pull out all stops to showcase their many balloon related magic pieces. See balloons pierced by razor-sharp needles nails and spikes, witness the incredible color change, cut and restored, and other magical effects done exclusively with latex balloons.

Enter 49 Franklin Reception Hall, learn basic balloon twists, see many air head stunts including, Air-Zooka Ping-Pong Ball on a hair dryer, toilet paper shooter, bow and arrow, ball, balance, ping pong, ping pong with white balloon.

Upon entrance, your ticket includes a balloon hat, one workshop balloon, and a ticket to win a giant three-foot helium filled Earth Balloon! Doors open at 11:30 for seating and an available lunch menu of chicken nuggets, and fingers, cheese sticks, fried green beans, Mac and cheese, and assortment of deserts and goodies. All tickets are $6 at the door.
