Chisholm’s Tavern opens Saturday
RUMFORD -- Chisholm’s Tavern, Rumford newest bar, will have their long-awaited opening this Saturday from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m.
To celebrate, the bar will feature live music by the Jim Gallant Band from 7-10 p.m. as well as several drink specials throughout the evening.
Located at 136 Congress St. in historic downtown of Rumford Falls, Chisholm’s Tavern will be open Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 11 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 2 p.m. to 1 a.m. and Sunday for select sporting events.
Owned and operated by Paul and Sandy Parent of Peru, the eight-month long renovation of the space occupied by Chisholm’s Tavern replaces the former Diconzo’s Ristorante and adult entertainment venue with an updated look and family-friendly feel, straight out of the days of Bing Crosby.
“We’re pleased to provide a place where guests can sit back and relax, have a drink after work, and meet up with friends and family,” said Drew Parent, manager of Chisholm’s Tavern. “It’s a great community. We’re proud to be a part of it.”
Chisholm’s Tavern’s official grand opening will take place later next month. Details will be released in a couple of weeks.
