Colombini's to perform at 49 Franklin
RUMFORD -- Aldo Colombini has appeared on television around the world, and has written many books and DVD's that teach his magic and comedy to fellow magicians. Aldo has performed often at Caesar's Magical Empire in Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas and continues to appear several times a year at the famous Magic Castle in Hollywood, CA where he is one of few magicians who are able to perform in all four showrooms.
In the history of the Magic Castle, Aldo is the only magician to be nominated in all six categories: Comedy, Stage, Close-up, Parlor, Bar magician and Lecturer. When he is onstage, audiences from all over the world are mesmerized by his wonderful mix of magic, comedy and Italian charm.
With magic as a lifelong hobby, following Rachel's career with one of the largest corporate organizations in Britain, she established a magic shop in Manchester, England in 1993. It supplied a vast array of magical apparatus, catering for every level of performer but specializing in quality handcrafted wooden effects.
She spent the next five years displaying and lecturing on magic at various conventions and magical societies before moving to the United States. Rachel is also an accomplished, full time performer in both stage and close-up magic at private and corporate events.
This past year, Rachel has under gone heart surgery and although she is now recovered they have decided that the time has come to stop the constant touring and remain home based, producing DVDS, tricks and books. They have both travelled extensively for many years and their lives have been enriched beyond all measure by the people they have met and the places they have visited.
The Columbini's will still attend the occasional magic convention but this will be the last tour for them. One of the stops on their final tour will be on Saturday, June 4 at 49 Franklin St. They will also lecture for magicians. Contact Scot at email@example.com if you are a magician and would like to attend the 1 p.m. lecture.
