Community Concepts awarded two grants
REGION -- Community Concepts, Inc. recently received $2,500 from the Sunday River Charitable Fund to support the Rumford Homeless Shelter and $3,500 from Maine Community Foundation Oxford County Fund to expand small business training to include Destination Tourism training and other programs.
The Sunday River Charitable Fund is a fund at the Maine Community Foundation, dedicated to improving the quality of life in the communities that make up the Sunday River area.
"These grants will allow us to expand our resources in both the homeless shelter and small business development, both of which are critical to the well-being of our communities.” said Joan Churchill, Community Concepts’ Director of Resource Development.
The Maine Community Foundation is a statewide nonprofit created by and for the people of Maine. The foundation is a philanthropic leader in building sustainable and vibrant communities for all Maine people. As Maine's first community foundation, the Maine Charity Foundation was established in 1921 to receive and hold individual charitable funds and distribute the income for charitable purposes in the state.
