Benefit spaghetti dinner, silent auction
RUMFORD -- The Rumford and Farmington Local Councils, part of the Consumer Council of Maine, will host a spaghetti dinner fundraiser on Friday to raise funds for the "Bridging the Gap" conference in June.
The dinner will be from 5-7 p.m. at the Eagles Club at 129 Rumford Ave. Tickets for the dinner are $6 and can be purchased at the door. A silent auction will take place during the dinner.
The objective of the "Bridging the Gap" conference is to have open dialogue about how to improve interactions between mental health consumers experiencing emotional distress and law enforcement personnel. A panel discussion is planned along with time for the community to participate in the discussion. This event is open to the public.
