Signup for Countryfolk event
EAST DIXFIELD -- Countryfolk Music Theatre on Route 2 is seeking early signup for artists, antique dealers, rock hounds, craft’s people and old Maine crafters to display at the annual Music and Minerals Country Jamboree weekend and exhibition on Saturday, July 30 as part of the Countryfolk youth music scholarship weekend.
The music continues all weekend, but exhibits are for Saturday only. Exhibitors may camp over free of charge.
Larry Bisbee, organizer of the 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. event, said more that 50 musicians are expected over the three days of free music. “We are looking for these folks to set up free of charge to exhibit their goods and to have a fun day with us on this special weekend when we award youth music scholarships."
“In the past we’ve had moose antler collections, chain saw carvings, pounded ash basket making, a cooper, gems and minerals and gold panning demos," he said.
Countryfolk is in its 12th year of providing community music projects and is an all volunteer project.
