RIVER VALLEY -- These were results following the June 11 elections:
In the five-way race for two selectmen three-year seats in Rumford, Brad Adley won re-election with 733 votes and Frank DiConzo won the other with 653 votes. Tallies for other selectmen candidates were Christopher Brennick, 612; Lynden Clarke, Jr., 375; and Mary E. McPherson, 359.
Linda French was re-elected to the Board of Assessors, getting 1,292 votes.
Of the several write-ins for one RSU 10 board seat, DiConzo got 17 votes, Rumford police officer Bradlee Gallant got 14 votes, and Kelly Gorham got six votes.
Town Clerk Beth Bellegarde said DiConzo can't accept the position since he won the selectman election. That leaves the seat open to Gallant if he wants it, and if not, to Gorham, she said.
In Mexico, voters re-elected selectmen Byron Ouellette (345) and Reggie Arsenault, Jr. (305) to three-year terms, defeating challenger James McDonald (238).
For the 17-member RSU 10 board, Mexico incumbent Bertha "Betty" Barrett ran unopposed for another three-year term. She received 384 votes.
In Dixfield, incumbent Bruce Ross also ran unopposed and was re-elected.
Hanover board member Dan Force resigned with two years remaining in his term. A spokesman for the town clerk said selectmen will soon choose someone to take his place.
In Buckfield, member Maida Demers-Dobson was defeated by newcomer Michelle Casey, 117-95.
In Sumner, incumbent John Phillips' term is up at the annual town meeting in August.
