MEXICO -- With the official start of the summer season on Memorial Day, the Mexico Flea Market is returning for a second year.
At their meeting on May 22, the Board of Selectmen approved a hawkers/peddlers license renewal for the market, run by Jim Barnett.
Barnett said last year's market, set up in the former Irving's site beside Frosty Delite on Main Street, did pretty well. "It did get people to stop, especially out of staters, and it helped surrounding businesses."
The market will be open five or six hours every weekend. Tables are available for $15 per day. To reserve a table, call 357-8338.
