Ideas to promote a healthier county
BETHEL -- A recent Survey of Oxford County showed it as the least healthy county in the state for the second year in a row.
Another community health needs assessment done by One Maine Health Collaborative showed a number of additional areas of concern for the county.
A forum to include a presentation on findings from the 2010 One Maine Healthy Community Health Needs Assessment and the 2011 County Healthy Rankings will be held November 16 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Crescent Park School.
There will also be break out groups to identify high priority issues.
In addition to sharing information, the forum provides an opportunity for interested and concerned municipalities, schools, community agencies and organizations, health care providers, and interested citizens to offer ideas and suggestions on how we can best promote a healthier county.
