Homemade for the holidays fair
RUMFORD -- Preparations are being made for the "Home Made For The Holidays Fair" to be held at the Rumford United Methodist Church, 455 Linnell St., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 12.
The United Methodist Women's group have been holding workshops for making the variety of products found at the fair every year. Those lovely gift baskets will be back this year in a variety of themes.
Gifts for pets are always included. Fleece mittens, hats and gloves, bean bags and assorted finshed crafts will be at their craft table. Handmade Christmas ornaments and decorations will be available at the Christmas corner.
The "Kitchen Helpers" area will be stocked with aprons (reversable for the holidays), pot holders in a number of shapes and sizes, crochet topped kitchen towels, and dish cloths. The Bake Table will be staffed by Naomi
Robertson and Peggy Welch with all your favortie goodies.
Jane Shuck will once again will guide people through the Silent Auction process. This has become a favorite table at the Fair. Our members have a tradition of quilting and their talents really shine in the offerings at this table.
Mary Pulsifer is back this year with a special area, Krafter's Korner. This is the place where people have donated those no longer wanted crafting items and supplies, notions, needles, fabric, yarn, unfinished projects, patterns, magazines, and Christmas decorations.
Dee Holman will be hosting the "Vintage Jewelry" table. Judy Kuhn will be serving up a corn chowder lunch.
