Hip hoppin' quacky magic show!
RUMFORD -- The Mystic Theater at 49 Franklin will be alive and kicking on April 28 with magic, comedy and fun, featuring "The Fine Feathered & Furry Friends" in the hip hoppin' quacky magic show!"
A variety of cute cuddly barnyard animals will appear, vanish and come back again to delight the audience. Dennis Labbe of Steep Falls lives on a farm. He enjoys having animals around his home and loves to perform miracles with them on stage. Children will love the appearance of doves, rabbits, chickens and a few other surprises.
Dennis will mix magic, and animals with stage illusions, sleight of hand, and plenty of comedy. “The animals are really the stars, when they come out, I don’t stand a chance!”
Kids love animals, especially cute fuzzy ones. Dennis will bring a collection of his pets for the amazing performance, and after the show children can get close to, and possibly pet some of them.
Dennis performs regularly at Acres of Wildlife Campground throughout the summer where he earned the nickname “Mr. Magic.” He keeps busy traveling around New England performing magic at private parties, corporate events, schools and libraries.
Local performer and owner of the Mystic Theater Scot Grassette will host the event, and introduce each segment of the performances. “It’s really a great show for families, and people of all ages to come out and enjoy together!”
The show will take place on 49 Franklin St. Doors open at noon and the show will start at 1 p.m. There will be face painting, goodie bags, snacks and drinks available.
