RUMFORD -- When the Board of Selectmen meet Thursday, they will likely discuss the fate of a wrecked Public Works sanding truck.
The town's 2001 International was damaged back on Dec. 9 after it tipped onto its side on black ice on Route 108.
The issue was not discussed publicly at board meetings on Dec. 20 and Jan. 3.
Town Manager Carlo Puiia said they are collecting information from insurance before they will make a decision on either the cost to repair or replace it, adding that this is ahead of the schedule for replacement.
As far as having this vehicle removed from the town's public works fleet, he noted, "This is putting us on our toes in keeping up with things."
