COLLECTING FOR FOOD PANTRY

COLLECTING FOR FOOD PANTRY -- National Honor Society members and juniors Rachel Averill, Andrew Boucher, and Shawn Bennett pack food for transport to the food pantry. Mountain Valley High School students and staff collected nonperishable food. The MVHS National Honor Society sponsored the event and as an added incentive promised the winning class a movie on the last day before the holiday vacation. The freshmen contributed 127 items, the sophomores turned in 72 items, and seniors donated 59 items. The juniors won with 151 items, the same class who contributed the most as sophomores. But all and all, the community won with stocked shelves at the food pantry.
