DONATION FOR TOYS
DONATION FOR TOYS -- Last Saturday, the Mexico Police Explorers and the Mexico Lions Club worked together, donating $200 each, to buy toys for needed families in the greater Mexico/Rumford/Dixfield area. The Explorers went Marden’s, which also donated $25 to the cause, and Walmart, purchasing toys for both young male and female children. After the gifts were purchased, the Explorers brought the gifts to Santa’s Helpers in Mexico so they could be distributed to local families. Explorers that helped included Mexico Police Lt. Roy Hodsdon, Ptl. Camron Barrieau, Advisor Renee Hodsdon, Advisor Robert Drouin, Capt. Brittany Gaudet, Lt. Aida Rodriquez, Sgt. Timothy Haas, Cpl. Kaitlin Hemingway and Explorer Timothy Fitzgerald. The Mexico Lions Club and Explorers met at their last Lions Meeting to collaborate once again after a successful Thanksgiving food basket drive worked out great. Given back to the communities is what both organizations want to stress to the younger generations is very important.
