Special Olympics

On a terrific morning last Friday, more than 130 athletes and some 25 volunteers (including Rumford Sgt. Tracey Higley, seen here) took part in the Oxford County Special Olympics training day, held at Black Mountain and at the Rumford hockey rink. This is in preparation of the Maine Special Olympics Winter Games, to be held at the end of the month at Sugarloaf. (Times photos by Bruce Farrin)
