Rainbow's End Healing and Yoga Center now open
MEXICO- Sandee Conley has taken a tragic event in her life and turned it into something positive for herself and others throughout the River Valley by opening Rainbow's End Healing and Yoga Center.
In 2007, Conley lost her daughter, Dorothy-Dawn Palmer in a tragic car accident and sought out ways to help heal herself. Realizing the health benefits of yoga and Reiki, she enrolled in classes to become a certified practitioner. She has practiced yoga and Reiki for more than 20 years.
Conley recently invited the River Valley Chamber of Commerce and fellow business members to help her celebrate with a ribbon cutting and handed out a free session of yoga.
“The mission of Rainbow's End is to build community and alleviate loneliness,” noted Conley. “Through the practice of yoga we seek to bring mind, body and spirit into harmony and find union with all of life. Yoga means union. The colors of the rainbow flow through us in the chakras and maintains our well-being. Vibrating love, peace and light on this of the rainbow connects all to the other side. Love goes beyond time and space and has no boundaries.”
Conley noted that if your chakras are balanced, then you will find that it helps in the healing process, slows aging and allows your joints to be more limber.
With each 60-minute yoga class, there is a 15-minute guided meditation at the end to help you become more aware of your center and find that balance you seek.
Yoga classes are offered five days a week and last for 75 minutes. Classes are Monday beginning at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday at 7:30 a.m., Wednesday at 4 p.m., Thursday at 3:30 p.m. and Friday at 5:15 p.m.
There are Reiki sessions available in either 30- or 60-minute sessions and an appointment must be made in advance.
Conley noted that she plans to expand her offerings in the future to include more community-building activities such as drumming circles, Reiki shares, Ayurvedic cooking workshops, game nights and open mic nights.
“The River Valley is a community of communities creating a web of networking in a business base,” noted Conley.
