Vietnam Vet Day

LOCAL REP RALLIES FOR VIETNAM VETERANS DAY -- Rep. Sheryl Briggs, D-Mexico, introduced a bill Monday that would designate March 29 as Vietnam Veterans Day. If passed, the state holiday would mirror days of remembrance for veterans of other wars and join Maine with about a dozen other states that honor Vietnam veterans on March 29. Rep. Briggs was joined by several other representatives, along with State Sen. John Patrick, D-Oxford, and many veterans.
