Dyer’s; For all your last-minute Christmas needs

MEXICO- The Christmas music is playing, the windows are decorated for the holidays and the snow has begun to fall on Main Street in Mexico. You’re looking for that special gift and you’ve been told about Dyer’s Electronics.

Since 1968, Leo Dyer has been in the business of electronic repair, sales and making his customers happy. Wanting to pass on that legacy of great business practice, Leo recently turned over management of his 64 Main Street store to his son, George.

“Leo is still here,” stated George. “I think he’ll always be in the back room fixing something.”

You will be pleasantly surprised when you decide to venture into Dyer’s. The first step will transport you back in time. Leo sits in the back shop working away on your televisions, scanners, computers and he still installs watch batteries.

George is up front ready to greet his customers and help you to decide on the best flat screen television to buy. Whether you’re trying to figure out the difference between LED or LCD, how much energy each will save, or which one has the best picture, George has all the answers for you, including which one is on sale.

Dyer’s has a complete line of televisions, radios, computers, robotic gadgets, phones, keyboards and more. Oh, and don’t forget the batteries. They have over 100 varieties of battery for all your electronic needs.

“People usually find exactly what they need in here,” noted George. “And if, by some chance we don’t have what they’re looking for, we can always order it for them.”

With brand names such as Skullcandy and Tracfone, children of all ages will want to stop by and check out the various selections of headphones, cell phones, remote-controlled toys and much, much more.

Have you ever heard of a Beamz Player? Neither had I until I walked into Dyer’s. You have to go check them out! Amazing!

For all you hobbyists out there, did you know you can purchase motors, switches and all your technical gadgets for whatever it is you’re building? Students from area high schools have frequented the store for their various projects year after year.

Remember, Dyer’s Electronics is your hometown electronic store. If service is what you need, Dyer’s is where you want to go. They still contract with DISH and can install and service your satellite system.

Be sure to take some time this Christmas to venture into Dyer’s and see the new items that will be adorning their shelves, and at the same time, reminisce among the shelves of toys and gadgets of Christmases past.

Dyer’s is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. If you would like to call ahead to see if they have what you’re looking for, Leo or George will be there to answer your call at 364-7606.
