Melvina R. Langley
AUGUSTA -- Melvina R. Langley, 85, of State Street, passed away on March 14, 2011 in Whitefield.
She died peacefully after fighting Kidney disease, and a lifetime of disabilities.
She was born in Rumford on Feb. 23, 1926, the daughter of Melvin W. Campbell and Lydia (McMicken) Campbell.
Melvina resided at Capital City Manor on State Street in Augusta for many years. She considered this her home, and was very thankful to those who made her life memorable.
Melvina was a very kind person, with a giving spirit, especially to all her family members. She was known to never forget anyone she met and had spent some time with. Her little gifts were thoughtful and would often be the chuckle for the day with family members.
She will be missed and never forgotten. She leaves with us the positive spirit of fight, and a heart of giving.
Survivors are her son, John Langley and his wife, Shaun of Rome, NY; a sister, Laura from Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, by a sister, Annie, and aunts and uncles.
