Reginald J. “Reg” Breau
LEWISTON -- Reginald J. “Reg” Breau, 63, of High Street, Rumford, died on April 23, 2011 at the Central Maine Medical Center, with his family by his side.
He was born in Rumford on February 11, 1948, a son of James and Yvette (Gaudet) Breau. He graduated from Mexico High School Class of 1968.
Reg worked for Sam Wade as a carpenter and also at Sunday River. He was a member of the Rumford Falls Aerie, #1248, F.O.E. He was an avid bird watcher and loved his cat, Tara.
He was married in Rumford on December 22, 1989 to the former Holly Poland, who survives of Rumford.
Other survivors include a step-son, Robert Richard, Jr. of Brewer; sisters, Jean Boudreau and husband, Ernest, Judy Kennedy and husband, Donald of Roxbury, and Janice Sirois and husband, Marc of Lewiston; mother-in-law, Eva Poland of Bethel; sister-in-law, Caroline Conant and husband, Doug of Belgrade; brother-in-law, John Poland of Bethel; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Roger and Ronnie Breau; step-son, Adam Richard;, and step-grandson, Nathaniel Richard.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Thursday at the Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford, with Fr. Phil Tracy officiating. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 2-4 p.m. Thursday prior to the funeral.
