Alice V. Cox Wilson
SEYMOUR, IN -– Alice V. Cox Wilson, 78, of Seymour, IN and formerly of Andover, ME, went to be with her Lord on February 25, 2011 at the Seymour Medical Center.
She was born in East Concord, NH on November 15, 1932, the daughter of Jesse and Helen (Lord) Riendeau. She had attended schools in New Hampshire and Maine and received her GED at Telstar Regional High School in Bethel.
Alice worked at Bass Shoe in Rumford, Madison Motel and Restaurant, the Four Seasons B & B in Bethel, and for Jim Littlefield’s Saw Mill in Andover and then in housekeeping at the Rumford Hospital until retirement in 1995.
Alice was a former member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Seymour, IN, the Calvary Bible Church in South Andover and was a member of the Grayford Road Church in Vernon, IN. She also attended the Trinity Baptist Church and the Lowell Baptist Church in Columbus, IN.
She loved to knit, sew and crochet, and loved the outdoors.
Alice was married to Daniel L. Cox, who died in 1982, and was later married in 2006 to Garlan Wilson, who died in 2009.
Survivors include her daughters, Bertha Grover and husband, Douglas of Bryant Pond, Sharon Cox of Jay, Brenda Sessions and husband, Floyd of Seymour, IN; son, Daniel Cox of Andover; sisters, Mary Gray of Charlestown, NH, Jean Rood and husband, Ronald of Cocoa Beach, FL, Sheila Knight and husband, Ernest of Davidson, NC, Linda McCormack of Concord, NH, Carol Clark and husband, Dennis of Stoddard, NH; brothers, Bruce Riendeau and wife, Katherine of Loxahatchee, FL, Ronald Riendeau of Barefoot Bay, FL, John Riendeau and wife, Amy of New Boston, NH; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents; husbands; daughters, Annie Cox and Sandra Cox Rowell; sister, Marion Windsor; brothers, Earl, Paul, Jesse and Walter Riendeau; and a granddaughter, Kayla Cox.
