Douglas Albert “Doug” Cayer

MACEO, KY -- Douglas Albert “Doug” Cayer, 50, of Maceo, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on November 27, 2012.

He was born May 5, 1962 in Rumford to Odila and the late Arthur L. Cayer. He graduated from Rumford High School of Rumford in 1980.

Doug worked as an electrician in construction for many years. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, skiing, and camping and was an excellent gardener. He was known for his “green” thumb! Cooking was also one of his many joys in life. He was so kindhearted, and always took care of others.

He is survived by his mother, Odila “Odie” Cayer of Palmetto, FL; three brothers, Art Cayer (Susan) of Sarasota, FL, Len Cayer (Chris) of Fredericksburg, VA and Dan Cayer of Maggie Valley, NC; four sisters, Anne Mercier (Michael) of Warren, OR, Louise Weston (Dennis) of Maceo, KY, Diane Cole (Jeff) of Sylva, NC and Denise Kelley (Scott) of Windham; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at a later date in North Carolina.
