Garnold L. Anderson
LEWISTON -- Garnold L. Anderson, 72, of Prospect Avenue, Rumford, died on January 24, 2013 at the Central Maine Medical Center.
He was born in Rangeley on March 31, 1940, a son of Horace and Nellie Mae Anderson. He had attended Rangeley schools.
He served in the U.S. Army as a private from 1958 to 1959.
Garnold was a truck driver for G.A. Peterson Cement Company and for the Enman Company in Rangeley and later for the Lewiston City Public Works Department.
He was a member of the Rumford Falls Aerie #1248, F.O.E. in Rumford; member of Swasey-Torrey Post #100, American Legion in Dixfield. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing and loved spending time with his family and friends.
He was married in Andover on January 21, 1967 to the former Darlene Dunham, who survives of Rumford. Other survivors include his father, Horace Anderson of Wasilla, AK; sons, Kevin Anderson and companion, Laurie Allen of Rumford, James Anderson Sr. and companion, Barbara Sylvester of Peru; daughter Lisamarie McIntyre and husband, Mark Sr. of Webster, MA; brother, Ronald Anderson and wife, Darlene of Wasilla, AK; grandchildren, Bonnie White of Lewiston, James “Thunder” Anderson, Jr. of Peru, Thomas Anderson and Derek Yeaton of Hershey, PA, Sara Anderson of Andover, Cordell “Mikey” Anderson of Peru, Rebekka Anderson of Waterbury, VT, Amanda Lynne and Mark McIntyre, Jr. of Webster, MA; great-grandchildren, Dominic McIntyre of Worcester, MA and Tatian Marie McIntyre of Webster, MA.
Services will be private and held at the family’s convenience.
