AUBURN –- Millie Belskis, 90, of Rumford died on September 22, 2011 in Auburn with her family by her side.
Born in Riley on August 27, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Bernardino and Alice (Angelo) Cornelio. She attended schools in Riley.
For many years, she was well known for her house cleaning business and for over eight years she worked in the house keeping and laundry dept. and the Dixfield Health Care Center in Dixfield until her retirement in 1988.
Millie was a Communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior St. Athanasius–St. John Church and was also a member of the Greater Rumford Senior Citizens Club. She enjoyed being with her family and enjoyed driving her car to Dick’s Restaurant to have lunch and coffee with her friends.
She was married in Riley on November 12, 1942 to Adam Belskism, who died September 9, 1976.
She is survived by her five children, Ruth Couture and husband, Gerry of Lisbon, Tony Belskis and his wife, Jenifer of Florida, Michael Belskis of Auburn, Peter Belskis and his wife, Nannette of Ashland, and Billy Belskis and wife, Dianne of Westbrook; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; sisters, Rose Labbe of Farmington, Louise Oakes and her husband, Donald of Wilton, Angie Lowe and her husband, Donald of Farmington, Gloria Tardiff and her husband, Richard of Jay; brothers, Peter Cornelio and his companion, Shirley of Jay, James Cornelio and his wife, Paula of Brunswick, John Cornelio and his wife, Arlene of Jay, and Thomas Cornelio and his companion, Linda Stanhope of Jay.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Adam; a sister, Mary Belskis; and a brother, Louis Cornelio.
