William R. “Bill” Bisson
MEXICO -– William R. “Bill” Bisson, 59, of Summit Street in Mexico, passed away on Dec. 27, 2012 at his residence following a long illness.
He was born in Rumford on May 20, 1953, a son of Edwin F. and Anne Marie (DesRoches) Bisson. Bill was educated in Mexico Schools and was a graduate of Mexico High School Class of 1971.
He was employed as an auto body mechanic and began his career at Bisson-Hebert, then many years at Tozier's Auto Body in Peru, and most recently with Lee Auto in Auburn.
Bill was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and boating.
Surviving are his mother, Anne Marie Lyford of Lewiston; daughter, Kayla Matthews and husband, Clayton III of Methuen, MA; a sister, Judith A. Bisson of Phoenix, AZ; two brothers, Edwin J. Bisson and wife, Brenda of West Bath, and Stephen J. Bisson of Toledo, OH; three grandchildren, Clayton Matthews IV, Gavin Matthews and London Matthews.
He was predeceased by his father.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at Parish of the Holy Savior. Spring interment will be in St. John Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill's memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, One Main St., Suite 300, Topsham, ME 04086-1240.
