Lionel H. Breau
RUMFORD -- Lionel H. Breau, 92, died on September 6, 2013 at the Rumford Hospital. He was a resident of Worthley Avenue in Mexico.
Born in Mexico on November 7, 1920, he was a son of James and Helen (Cormier) Breau. He was a graduate of Mexico High School. He served in the U.S. Army as a PFC. He worked in the instrument department for Boise Cascade Paper Mill in Rumford until his retirement in 1983. He was a member of Rumford Falls Aerie #1641 FOE. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was married to Katherine Bickrest, who died September 9, 2002
Survivors include two daughters, Elaine Beauchesne and her husband, Thomas of Roxbury, and Andrea Casey and her husband, Gene Sr. of Mexico; a son, Maurice Breau and his wife, Dale of Belmont; two brothers, Edward Breau and his wife, Barbara, and Raymond Breau and his wife, Priscilla of Rumford; a sister, Lilly Gotto and her husband, Francis of Mexico; grandsons, Andrew and Michael Breau, Chad and Gene Casey, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Andrew Breau, Jr., Noah Breau, Nicholas Breau and Alexis Casey.
He was predeceased by his wife, Katherine; brothers, James Breau, Rene Breau and Omer Breau; and a grandson, Jody Beauchesne.
Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday September 21, 2013 at St John Cemetery in Rumford with Fr. Greg Dube officiating.
