RUMFORD -- Marjorie B. Casey, 87, of Mountain View Annex, passed away on Sunday January 6, 2013 at her residence following a long illness.

She was born in Rumford on February 25, 1925, a daughter of Clarence and Mary (Webber) Crawford.

Marjorie was retired from the Rumford Community Hospital after 23 years of service as a CNA. She worked part time for a home health agency out of Farmington for three years.

Marjorie was a communicant of Parish of the Holy Savior, and was a former member of the Rumford Planning Board. She enjoyed doing volunteer work for family crisis of West Peru. She enjoyed knitting and was an avid reader. Marjorie loved visiting with family and friends and was always ready to give a helping hand. She loved family get togethers and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her children, Gayle A. Casey of Rumford, and Gary M. Casey and companion, Gloria Garneau of Rumford; two grandchildren, Sonya Arsenault and husband, Stephen, and Tanya Damon and husband, Richard; and three great-grandchildren, Alexa Casey, Gavin Arsenault and Gabriel Damon.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to Androscoggin Home Health, and special friends, Wendy Henderson of West Peru and Joanie Frisbee of South Rumford for the special care given to Marjorie during her illness.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Parish of the Holy Savior. Spring interment will be in St. John Cemetery. If so desired, contributions in Marjorie’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
