Bruce James Curato
HAVERHILL, MA -- Bruce James Curato, 62, formerly of Rumford, passed away at his home in Haverhill, MA on November 29, 2012.
He was born in Rumford on September 28, 1950, the son of Lawrence and Adelia (Meisner) Curato. He graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford Class of 1968.
He worked at Massachusetts Bay Commuter Railroad Company as an electrician. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers System Council # 7, Local 674. Bruce was a self taught musician with his main obsession the guitar.
Survivors include his brothers, Michael Dane Curato and wife, Marie of Rumford, Randy Curato and wife, Mary Pat of Wheaton, IL; sisters, Andrea Goff and husband, Del of New Castle, DL, Carla Beaudoin and husband, Marc of Gorham; nieces Tracy, Cara, Lani, Maria, Bailey, Julia and Anna; a nephew, Cory; his former wife, Beverly Romano and her son, Jason of Haverhill, MA.
He was predeceased by his parents and a sister.
Bruce will be sadly missed by many friends, relatives and coworkers and be remembered as “Rumford Red.”
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius-St. John Church, 126 Maine Ave., Rumford. Interment will be at St. John Cemetery, Rumford. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to Muscular Dystrophy Association, 39 Mechanic St., Suite 100, Westbrook, ME 04092 in his memory.
