Dale W. Fulton
WEST RICHLAND, WA -- Dale W. Fulton, 71, of West Richland, WA very peacefully entered into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 6, 2013.
Dale was born on March 31, 1942 to Velma and Hugh Fulton in Rumford. He graduated from Mexico High School in 1960 and went on to vocational school to learn his trade as a machinist.
Dale married Doris Dufour in August of 1967, and he worked for NASA making the locking parts for the Apollo Space Program for space suits, along with other projects for awhile before opening his own business in Rumford called Dale’s Refrigeration. They lived for several years on Knox Street in Rumford, staying close to family and friends before moving on to employment in Tucson, AZ as a Machinist.
After only living there a year, Dale found a job at the Hanford Reservation in 1980, where he spent the remainder of his career, making a life in Richland, WA.
Dale’s passions included his impressive gun collection, target practice and later his Catholic Faith. He was a man of few words, but those who got to know him well, loved and respected him.
He is survived by his older brother, Keith and wife, Della Fulton of Lempster, NH; his little sister, Sharee and husband, Robert Thompson of Roxbury Pond; his children, Ronald L. Fulton of Moorestown, NJ and Shayne Bono of West Richland, WA; his grandchildren, Brianne Fulton, Veronica and Venessa Fulton, Megan and husband, Andrew Shupe of Cheney, WA, and Casey and her husband, Kellen Belew of Richland, WA.
Dale is preceded in death by his wife of almost 45 years, Doris D. Fulton; his parents, Velma and Hugh Fulton Sr.; his older sister, Birdina Allen and her husband, David; and his older brother, Hugh Jr.
There will be a burial service at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 29 at St. John's Cemetary in Rumford.
