Charles F. Dugas
RUMFORD -- Charles F. Dugas, 82, died peacefully on August 27, 2013 at his home on Prospect Avenue, with his beloved family by his side.
He was born in Revere, MA on November 11, 1930, a son of Joseph and Josephine (McIsaac) Dugas. She had attended schools in Massachusetts and Belgrade Lakes. He was a Korean War veteran and served with the U.S. Army.
He worked as a welder for many years until retirement in 1987 from Boise Cascade Paper Company in Rumford. He was a member of the Sam and Webb River Sportsman’s Club, enjoyed several hobbies and loved to learn.
He was married in Dixfield on January 28, 1959 to Betty Dugas, who survives of East Rumford. Other survivors include his daughters, Cynthia Freeman and husband, Gregg of Peru, and Kelly Jo Dugas of East Rumford; sons, Thomas Dugas and wife, Alice, and David Dugas and wife, Christine, all of Hopewell Jct., NY; a brother, Eddie Park and wife, Donna of Hartland; a sister, JoAnna Batherson and husband, Richard of Sacramento, CA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by eldest son, Jerry Dugas; and his wife, Joanne Dawson.
