Terry B. Emmons
LEWISTON -- Theresa “Terry” B. Emmons, 82, a resident of Main Street, Monmouth, formerly of Newtown, CT, died on July 11, 2013 in Lewiston following a period of declining health.
She was born March 15, 1931 in Fairfield, CT, the daughter of Michael and Theresa (Burian) Chervansky. Terry was a graduate of Roger Ludlow High School in Fairfield, CT. She also attended the Connecticut School of Stenography for court reporting.
She married Robert A. Emmons of Monroe, CT in 1952 at St. Thomas Church in Fairfield, CT. Mr. Emmons passed away in 1974 after a long illness.
Terry worked as a court reporter in the Superior Courts in Connecticut and Maine. Following her work with the courts in Maine, she worked with Judge William McCarthy in Rumford, assisting with his computer work for malpractice hearings.
Terry moved to Monmouth in 1996 and made her home with her daughter and son-in-law. She enjoyed reading and gardening.
She is survived by one daughter, Michelle Mann and her husband, William of Monmouth; one son, Robert A. Emmons, Jr. and his wife, Yvonne of Davis, CA; three grandchildren, Jordyn Mann, Adam Emmons and Garrett Emmons; and her special friend and sister-in-law, Delia Chervansky of Fairfield, CT.
The memorial services at St. Rose Church in Newtown, CT will be announced at a later date. Interment will be at St. Rose Cemetery in Newtown, CT, on the day of the service. If desired contributions may be made to: in memory of Terry B. Emmons to a charity of one’s choice.
