REGION -- Former Rumford resident, Jeremy R. "JP" Perry, 41, died on Dec. 11, 2012 from injuries sustained from an accident.

Jeremy was born on April 9, 1971 in Rumford. He was a high school state wrestling champion and graduated from Rumford High School in 1989.

Jeremy continued his education at the Univ. of Maine at Orono where he earned a bachelor of science degree in Construction Management. He went on to build a successful career in the construction industry as a project manager.

He was a loyal son, big brother and a faithful friend to many. He is loved and will be missed by his survivors: parents, Michael and Angela Matthews of Rumford, and Dexter and Cindy Perry of Mexico; siblings, Raelene Sok and husband, Wayne of Washington, D.C., Erik Matthews and Jade Gannon of Mexico, Benjamin Matthews of Rumford, Ernest Matthews and wife, Nicole of Somerville, and Katie Perry of Mexico; a nephew and many nieces.

He was predeceased by brothers, Ronald Perry and Christopher Perry.

Jeremy will be buried in the spring next to his brother, Ron.
