Niki Sue Keogh
REGION -- Niki Sue Keogh, 38 of Lakeland, FL, passed away on December 8, 2012 of melanoma.
She was born on October 1, 1974 in Rumford. She was a 1993 graduate of Mountain Valley High School where she was a member of the field hockey team and cheerleading squad.
She obtained a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Maine, and a Master's Degree in Education from the University of South Florida. She was a National Board Certified Teacher and taught second grade at Gibbons Street Elementary in Bartow, FL.
Niki enjoyed exercising, running, scrapbooking and entertaining. She was very outgoing and had a great sense of humor. She is loved and will be missed by her husband, Patrick Keogh of Lakeland, FL; her parents, Nick and Sue Brown of Mexico; her grandparents, Leonard and Yvonne Barrieau of Clermont, FL; aunts and uncles, Scott and Jo-Ann Broomhall, Tim and Lisa Barrieau, Nancy Brown of Rumford, Sandra Barrieau of South Paris, Jeff Barrieau of Orlando, FL; in-laws, Joan Keogh and John Lynch of Englewood, FL,
John Keogh and Lynda George of West Hartford, CT; cousins, Heidi and Andrew Broomhall, Brett and Camron Barrieau, and Kacy Barrieau.
She will be missed by her many friends.
She was predeceased by her great-grandparents, Theophile and Alice Lanteigne, and Oliver and Bella Barrieau; and her grandmother, Madeline Brown. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Niki’s name to the Moffitt Cancer Center (moffitt.org). A celebration of life will be held this summer in Rumford.
