Jeanne Luce
DIXFIELD -– Jeanne Luce, 85, of Kidder Avenue, Dixfield died unexpectedly on April 21, 2011 at her residence.
She was born in Dixfield on July 27, 1925 a daughter of Robert and Grace (Coburn) Ames. Jeanne was educated in Dixfield schools and was a graduate of Dixfield High School.
She married Richard H. Luce in 1946 and together they celebrated 58 years of marriage. He passed away in 2004.
Jeanne was a homemaker and has lived in Dixfield all of her life.
She was a member of the Oxford County Extension, the Lucky Rollers Bowling League and the Bomberettes Bowling League. Jeanne loved baking and cooking and made the best peanut butter fudge.
She loved spending time with her family but especially her grandchildren and she enjoyed her time at Webb Lake.
Surviving are a son, Franz H. Luce and wife, Pam of Dixfield; a daughter, Marianne Luce Morton of Aberdeen, NC; a sister, Carolyn Gill; three grandchildren, Richard Morton of Rockingham, NC, Ryan Morton and wife, Chrissy of Pleasant Garden, NC, and Emily Luce of Dixfield; and one great-granddaughter Christine Morton.
She was predeceased by her parents, and her husband, Richard H. Luce.
A time of Sharing and Remembering will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at SG Thibault Funeral Home. Interment will be at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery in Dixfield.
