Timothy “Tim” James Nurse
REGION -- Timothy “Tim” James Nurse, 37, passed away on July 17, 2012.
He was born in Farmington on April 14, 1975, the loving son of Cheryl Mills and Kenneth Nurse and was the devout partner and soul mate of Michelle Noiles.
Timothy was a dedicated student, graduating from Mount Blue High School in 1993. At Mount Blue, he received many awards and recognition for his academic successes. He continued his education at Central Maine Community College in the Architectural and Civil Engineering program, where he consistently made the dean’s list.
Timothy was passionate for music, and excelled in playing the guitar. He enjoyed camping and fishing with friends and family on his family’s island in Mount Vernon.
Since the age of four, Tim was enrolled in swimming lessons at Kineowatha Park in Wilton. He continued taking lessons well into high school, and later taught swimming lessons there for six years. He was noted in the newspaper article for his ability to work with any child and for the passion he had for teaching children to swim. It was important for Tim that every child learns to safely swim and enjoy the water, like he had.
He always met a challenge head on, and bought for what was right. The people in Tim’s life will remember his contagious laughter and the joy it brought to others around him. He described himself as a “unique guy,” and to his friends and family he was a deeply loyal, and caring one-of-a-kind man.
He is survived by his father, Kenneth Nurse of Wilton; his mother, Cheryl Mills and her husband, Scott of Rumford; his fiancee, Michelle Noiles of Mount Vernon; his brother, Jonathan Nurse and nephew, Kyle Gardner; paternal grandmother, Renee Nurse, of Vienna; maternal grandmother, Norma Welch of Chesterville; and his selected brothers, Carroll “Cal” Pease of Temple and Sean Nurse of Arizona.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, William “Bill” Nurse Sr. of Mount Vernon; and maternal grandfather, Earlen Welch of Chesterville.
