Marie Cécile Parker (née Boivin)
BOISE, ID -- Marie Cécile Parker (née Boivin), 75, died on April 24, 2013 in Boise, Idaho, after a long battle with cancer. She was known as Cécile or Cee to her family and friends.
She was born in Rumford on August 15, 1937, the first child of Méridé and Gèrmaine Boivin. Cee lived and worked for the United States Government in Washington, DC and in Paris, France.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James Parker, and her three children, William and his wife, Susie of Brunswick, Maryland, Monique and her husband, Albin Jones of Pasadena, MD, and Erik of Santa Ana, CA; her six grandchildren, Lacy, Mia, Corwin, Deirdre, Genevieve, and Sydney; her brother, Arthur Boivin of Rumford; her sister-in-law, Gerry Boivin of Rumford; her sister, Jeannette and her husband, Dale Neuman of Boise, ID; and many cousins, nephews and nieces.
Cécile was predeceased by her parents; her brother, Eugène Boivin; and a sister-in-law, Lyanne Boivin of Rumford.
A public memorial service will be held at Cloverdale Funeral Home, 1200 N. Cloverdale Road, Boise, ID 83713 on May 4 at 2 p.m.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Assistance League of Boise (P.O. Box 140104, Boise, ID 83714) or the Garden City Public Library (6015 Glenwood St., Garden City, ID 83714). She will be missed by many.
