Danielle Elizabeth Mae “Dani” Ranger
LEWISTON -– Danielle Elizabeth Mae “Dani” Ranger, 16, a resident of Marble Lane in Dixfield, passed away on October 16, 2011 at Central Maine Medical Center as a result of an automobile accident.
She was born November 28, 1994 in Farmington, the daughter of John R. Ranger III and Tammy L. (Robbins) Ranger. Dani was a junior at Dirigo High School in Dixfield.
She was a member of the field hockey team and a junior firefighter of the Dixfield Fire Department. It had been several years since the fire department had a junior firefighter program; Dani was instrumental in reorganizing the group.
Dani was known as a young lady who had a positive attitude, faced challenges, and was an outstanding, friend, teammate, role model and firefighter. Above all else, Dani was a devoted daughter, granddaughter, niece and cousin. She is survived by her parents, John R. Ranger III of Jay and Tammy L. Ranger of Dixfield; maternal grandparents, Joanne Leighton and her husband, Elwood of Livermore Falls; and step-grandmother, Vickie Robbins of Dryden; paternal grandparents, John Ranger II and his wife, Kendalyn of Jay; Vicky Geis and her husband, Doug of East Dixfield; great-grandmother, Evangeline Hayden of Wilton; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Dale T. Robbins.
