Rufus S. Rich

SO. PARIS -- Rufus S. Rich, 75, of Lisbon, died on August 31, 2012 at the Maine Veterans Home.

He was born in Upton on December 18, 1936, the son of Ralph and Louise (Dickinson) Rich. He graduated from Bridgewater High School, Bridgewater, MA.

He also had served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1959.

Rufus was a truck driver and construction worker for many years until retirement and had served as an E.M.T. on the Dresden Fire Department in Maine.

Survivors include a sister, Dinah Clark and husband, William of East Wareham, MA; a nephew, Matthew Zimmerman of MA; several distant relatives; and his close friend, Rev. Jane Rich of Andover.
