Dale T. Robbins
FARMINGTON -- Dale T. Robbins, 66, of Wilton, died on April 17, 2011, following an extended illness, "after the races", with his loving family at his side.
He was born June 6, 1944, in Turner, a son of Merrill T. and Virginia M. (Jordan) Robbins. He received his education in Livermore Falls schools.
He was employed for many years as a track engineer and foreman for Maine Central Railroad. On Feb. 13, 1993, he married Vickie Davis in Farmington.
Dale was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and shared his love of the outdoors with his family and friends. He was a life member of the NRA and also enjoyed watching car races. He was often seen with his favorite companion, his dog, "Buttons-and-Bows."
He is survived by his wife, Vickie of Wilton; three sons, Timmy Robbins and his wife, Deborah of Livermore Falls, Jon Robbins and his wife, Penny of Livermore, and Gerald "Butch" Dubay of Peoria, AZ; four daughters, Donna Boivin and her companion, Ted Soucy of Jay, Tammy Ranger of Dixfield, Kimberly Robbins and her fiancé, Patrick Swan of Colonial Beach, VA, and Athena Sanders and her husband, Jake of N. Jay; two brothers, Timothy Robbins and his companion, Judy of Benton, and David Robbins and his wife, Ruth Ann of Turner; two sisters, Nancy Clark and her husband, Warren of Turner, and Diana Dunham and her companion, Michael of Livermore; 10 grandchildren, Justin LeBlanc, Amanda Robbins, Ashlie Robbins, Danielle Ranger, Jason Robbins, Kyle Dubay, Taylor Dubay, Gavin Sanders, Bretteney Sanders and Ian Sanders; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his folks; a daughter, Karen Keene (twin of Kimberly); and a niece, Leeann Bryant.
