Gary A. Touchette
LEWISTON -- Gary A. Touchette, 61, of Howard Street, Mexico, died on June 8, 2013 at the Central Maine Medical Center, Lewiston.
He was born in Rumford on August 22, 1951, the son of Louis and Emma (Noble) Touchette. He was a high school graduate having attended Mexico schools.
Gary had worked at Bronstein & Cohen in Mexico and later for William Porter General Contractor as a painter for many years until retirement.
He was a member of the Rumford Falls Aerie # 1248, F.O.E. and Robert Shand Post # 1641, V.F.W.. He enjoyed poker, shuffleboard, hunting and fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.
Survivors include sisters, Linda White and companion, David McDonald of Mexico, Kathy Talbot and husband, Steve of Turner, Rosanna Seigle and husband, Richard of Rumford, and Gloria Hamel of Roxbury; brothers, Gordon and wife, Mary, Michael, and David, all of Roxbury, Donald and wife, Eleanor of Rumford, and Robert Touchette and wife, Edna of Holliston, MA; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Louis, Jr, Douglas, Phillip, Dennis, Jimmy; and a sister, Patty Thibodeau.
A celebration of his life will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday at the Robert Shand Post #1641, V.F.W. on Waldo Street, Rumford.
