Louise A. Noyes Wentzell
ORLANDO, FL -- Louise A. Noyes Wentzell, 79, of Orlando, FL, died on September 21, 2012. She was formerly of Rumford and Dixfield.
Born in Mexico on March 21, 1933, she was the youngest daughter of Dana and Neleta (Tibbetts) Noyes of Dixfield. She attended schools in Mexico and graduated from Dixfield High School in the Class of 1950.
She was married in Dixfield on November 8, 1950 to Gordon M. Wentzell of Dixfield. He died in Rumford on February 5, 2006.
She worked as a sales clerk, waitress and later at Diamond International in Peru for 28 years in the toothpick department. She retired in 1987 and since 1991 had spent the winter months in Orlando, FL.
Louise was a past matron and member of the Mt. Zircon Chapter #142 O.E.S. and a member of Pine Castle #321 in Orlando, FL. She was a secretary of Local #464 U.P.I.U in Peru for 15 years. She was a former member of Mexico Junior Mother Craft Club; Ann Abbott Club of the Mexico Congregational Church; past president of Mollyockett Mixers Square Dance Club of Rumford; Keenagers group of Woodhaven Baptist Church in Orlando.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Wentzell of Orlando, FL and Cheryl Bell of Rumford; a son, HMC Kurt E. Wentzell, U.S. Navy (retired) of Virginia Beach, VA; grandchildren, Deanna and Christie Jess of Nova Scotia, Michelle and Rebecca Wentzell of Windsor, SPC Felicia Bell, USAR of Richmond, SSGT Gordon J. Bell, USAF of Dayton, OH, Megan, Scott and Cody Wentzell of Norfolk, VA; three great-grandchildren, Amanda Jess, Riley MacDonald and Faith Wentzell; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Gordon; two sisters, Mona Putnam and Harriet Leighton; three brothers, Earl, Carroll “Kicker” and Lee Noyes; two sons, BMI Rex Scott Wentzell and Gordon Wentzell, Jr. “Butch.”
Louise will be missed by her many friends in Maine and Orlando, FL.
