Rex A. White
AUBURN -- Rex A. White, 50, died on October 22, 2012 at the Hospice House in Auburn after a long illness. May he rest with the angels.
Born in Rumford on March 1, 1962, he was a son of Robert and Leona Hodgkins White Sr. He was a graduate of Mexico High School with the Class of 1981.
He worked at Bennett Shoe in Rumford, Andover Wood Products in Andover, LaPerle Durland Monuments of Mexico and was also a Watch Dog for Ralph’s Store. A talented artist of a variety of mediums, glass etching, oil paints, wood burning, wood carving, wood crafts, mushroom art, etc. He loved to hunt, fish and drink his Milwaukee’s Best.
He was married in Rumford in 2006 to Kathy Greenleaf, who survives of Rumford. Other survivors include his daughter, Sonya White Rocray of Peru; a step-daughter, Jodi Anson of Lewiston; sisters, Birdie Rocray and husband, Mike and family of Peru, Becky McDonald and husband, Kevin and family of Rumford, Rose Libby and husband, Rob and family of Peru; brothers, Roger White and wife, Karen and family of Rumford, Russell White and family of Peru, Rob White and wife, Kim and family of Mexico; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and two step-granddaughters.
He was predeceased by his father and two brothers, Ronald White Sr. and Rodney “Punky” White.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at the Pineview Cemetery in Roxbury.
